adopt-a-bag comes with a photo of his or her place of origin, and
an individual history. Remember you are helping to recycle resources
by choosing this bag. Each and every adopt-a-bag has been sewn together
using only 100% organic cotton thread (see Materials
for more details on why we have made big efforts to source the cotton
thread we use from organic suppliers). Some also have their own little
embellishment to send them on their way into their new life... |

Grizabella
- this bag is the faded "glamour cat" who sings the heartfelt
"Memory" in the musical, "Cats." This bright
and shiny magenta, blue, sunshine and black quilted bag used to
be a long A-line skirt in her former life. After being rescued from
a local charity shop, Grizabella began to take shape after being
combined with a scrap of beautiful deep purple velvet that was destined
for the rubbish tip. She is machined stitched together totally using
100% organic cotton thread and has a canary yellow secure zip closure,
a velvet interior pocket and a single hand or shoulder strap.

The
Artful Dodger - This cheeky, handsome chap in caramel
and sky blue tweed has managed to avoid the scrap heap in this cute
transformation. The Dodger used to be a pair of trousers plucked
from a charity shop (see pic above). After a few swift moves with
the scissors, a few metres of 100% organic cotton thread and combined
with some silky blueberry velvet that was also destined for the
landfill site, here he is! A soft chenille embellishment finishes
off this cheeky hobo number - he also has an interior pocket, a
single hand or shoulder strap, and a secure zip closure.
